Little drawing made for a friend.

Inspired by a talk I went to where a scientist was explaining how you can prove that animals use binocular vision for depth perception. You give them teeny tiny 3D glasses and show them images of food that you can only see if you’re using both eyes together. And yes, cuttlefish do it.

Continuing to enjoy the new brush I made to paint.

First time using TPE. Overhangs are pretty rough on a MK3. The rubberiness of TPE is more like a vulcanized natural rubber used on surfaces like conveyor belts. It is similar to bike hoods. That first textured print is still too rough and rigid for a thing like bar tape.

Dropped one of my wife’s favorite mugs. Anyone up for a paid commission/challenge to print a new handle? Have you ever seen this work? Thanks!

About half the time recently when printing with PLA, I see that holes or loops have a line of filament running approximately through the middle which seems to be one of the inner perimeters having detached and contracted, but is still attached on both sides. Is it a temperature thing, an extrusion thing? I can’t find a pattern. Bed adhesion is great. Bambu H2C, mostly printing with Bambu Basic PLA.

I’m trying not to spam. I liked this one. This is my boy, Bruno.

My FPV goggles have no internal battery, they need to be run off a 2s-8s LiPo or 5v from a USB port. This lets me use a reasonably safe power supply instead of strapping a raw lipo to my body.

I’ve been saving this reference for when I felt confident enough to tackle it. That day is today. But I had to make my own brush (for the first time) to get the results I wanted. Thoughts?

She had a hiccup. This one’s serious. Blume has to get rid of everything inside her dense alien body or else she gets her hiccups. Curls up in a ball to fill in the hole she made.

I used to post occasionally from lemme.ee (F) & I finally got around to making a new account.

After drying for about 6 months, I applied a matte finish on this, and now finally got it framed after several delays. The nice part in oil painting is that it’s not a hurried pursuit.

Instructor went over some basics, we sketched, then he did an oil painting in class from a scene he previously sketched with a single color on oil paint.

This is my attempt at a prompt “pretend.” I was thinking of mimicry in the animal kingdom. In the end, it turned out to be more challenging than expected to draw the owl in the tree hollow, where it almost blends in with the tree and is barely recognizable in nature. Oh well, you rise to the challenge 🙂

I haven’t painted in forever, so this one feels extra special. Like sunshine after a storm.

Group source question: This is the pencil rough for an owlbear drawing. It has three elements. The owl bear. The scroll. The weapons. I’m not sold on the weapons. But I know it definitely needs another element. Replace the weapons with something else? Add another element? Amplify the scroll? What would you do?

Painted this on my phone over the last several days, whenever I get a moment or two.
